The first team created Centrale Racing Team (CRT) in 2013. It was composed of 25 students from Centrale Paris. In a single year, they started the project, designed, and build the very first car of the school then competed at Silverstone in 2014. The project lasted 2 years during which the teams upgraded many parts of the car. It was however shutdown in 2015.
2 years later, Centrale Paris and Supélec merged to form one of France leading engineering schools. With more than 3500 students, CentraleSupélec has twice more potential and the project was rebooted in September 2017. 24 members, all over-motivated, launched themselves into the competition with a clear yet very challenging objective of winning the title of Best Newcomer at Silverstone in 2019. This time the car will be electric.
